Mary's Meals Campaign

Thank you to students, parents and staff for really embracing our Mary's Meals campaign.

Mary's Meals is a charity that the school has supported over recent years. The charity encourages young people, in some of the world's poorest communities, to go to school,by ensuring that they are provided with a meal at their place of education. The charity recognises that through receiving an education those young people will then be better placed to help and support their communities in adulthood.

The campaign this year focused on the collection of old clothes that the charity uses to convert into funds. For St James', this represented a chance to utilise our new House system to encourage even greater support.

By the end of the campaign, we were able to deliver over 1700 items of clothing to our local parish, St Margaret Clitherow, to be collected by Mary's Meals. We're delighted that Mary's Meals will be able to put the funds raised to great effect.

In terms of items donated by each House, the table is provided below. Congratulations to Aspiration on collecting the most items.
