Sports Leaders Supporting Students Across London

On Wednesday 12 February, four of our best trained specialist sports leaders were invited by the Youth Sports Trust  to work with young students, from all over London, with a variety of physical, mental or social disabilities at the Lee Valley Sports Centre.

Our students had to deliver an inclusive sport that could be accessed by young students with a range of disabilities. Our students had already designed the activity at a previous workshop at Lords cricket ground.

They planned seated volleyball with adapted ground floor nets, a soft volleyball and a volleyball with a bell for visually impaired students.

The Youth Sports Trust were hugely impressed by the sports leaders and their contribution to inclusive sports..

Many congratulations to

Patricia Grudz Edmonson - Year 9

Luke McCaul - Year 9

Toki Oyebade - Year 9

Kian Jiwa-Holden - Year 10

They will receive a  special St James' award in the summer term as outstanding inclusive sports leaders.
