Chris Bradford, popular Children's Author, pays Year 7 a visit

At St James’, we believe that a love of reading is a key part of academic success, good mental health and cultural enrichment. That is why we were delighted to welcome Chris Bradford, author of the hit Young Samurai series, for a virtual visit with our Year 7s on Wednesday 12 May. It was an afternoon of videos, games and quizzes. Year 7 were regaled with tales of reincarnation, Japan and dreams.

During the visit, Chris told us about his latest series, The Soul Hunters: An Attack in a City Park in which the main character, Genna, being rescued by a stranger, leads her to learn that she has lived many past lives. Pursued by a deadly foe from the past, she must find a way to save herself and the whole human race. Book one of a brand new series.

The Soul Hunters is available in most bookshops and online. You can head to Chris Bradford’s Bookshop to find more of his amazing books at affordable prices. We have 20 signed copies of The Soul Hunters available for £6.  A copy is also available from our school library. Look out for opportunities to win a free copy...
