Year 12 Drama Performance

In the last week of term the A level drama and theatre studies group presented their devised practical work. The piece was inspired by Documentary Drama with elements of Verbatim included.

There were clear references to productions seen during the course so far: The Woman in Black at the Fortune Theatre and Mental at the Battersea Arts Centre. In addition, London Road and The Permanent Way were seen digitally at The National Theatre archive.

The devised piece of drama was based on the life and times of Amelia Dyer, a baby farmer and prolific killer of children. The group have been inspired by the work of two key practitioners: Alecky Blythe and David Hare.

Performers: Catarina Alves, Elza Kanangila, Roberto Morreale and Shannon O’Connor
