At St James', we feel it is vital that our students have a voice and that they are able to express their opinions on a wide range of topics that contribute to their experience and enjoyment of school life.
With this is mind, there is an established Student Voice structure across all year groups. Each form group votes for students in their form to act as form representatives for the year and each year group has elected student representatives. The students representatives meet regularly with their Head of Year to discuss matters arising and to make suggestions for improvements.
The Year Representatives meet collectively with the Head Boy and Head Girl, facilitated by Ms Lardner. This provides an opportunity to discuss issues that affect the whole student community, to express their views and ideas and to then feedback through their form representatives so that everyone has a voice and everyone is kept up to date.
All of the representatives do a great job in representing their peers, whilst gaining leadership skills and confidence to help them in the future.
