Welcome from the Chair of Governors

2 1935 eOn behalf of the Governing Body I would like to warmly welcome you to St James' Catholic High School.

Our school was founded by the Dominican Sisters in 1934 to provide Catholic secondary education for children in the parishes of north-west London. Today, the school maintains its Dominican traditions and continues its role in the mission of the Church. Our gospel values and the principles of respect and consideration are fundamental to everything that we do.

The Governors are justly proud of our schools tradition of achievement and its high reputation for Catholic education and pastoral care. We believe our school offers an outstanding environment in which all students can thrive.

We have extremely high expectations of both staff and pupils here at St James' and under the outstanding guidance of our Senior Leadership Team and all the staff, we will do our utmost to ensure that every pupil reaches their full potential, both academically as well as growing spiritually in their Catholic faith.

You will have seen the excellent results achieved by our pupils this year and we look forward to enjoying continued success in the future. I believe your child will enjoy every aspect of their time at St James' Catholic High School and will become a valued member of our school community.
