09/07/2026Prayer
Prayer is at the heart of life in our Dominican school. Rooted in the Dominican tradition, we believe that prayer is the foundation of our relationship with God and the source of the wisdom, compassion, and courage needed to live out the Gospel each day. Through personal reflection, shared worship, and the celebration of the Church's liturgy, prayer invites us to encounter Christ, discern His presence in our lives, and grow in faith together.
As a community inspired by the Dominican Pillars of Prayer, Study, Community, and Service, we recognise that prayer not only strengthens our relationship with God but also inspires us to seek truth (Veritas), care for one another, and put our faith into action. Prayer calls us to reflect on the needs of others and to respond with compassion, justice, and hope.

Our life of prayer is closely connected to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. Through prayer, we deepen our understanding of the dignity of every human person, our responsibility to work for the common good, our call to stand in solidarity with those who are vulnerable, and our duty to be good stewards of God's creation. Prayer challenges us not only to reflect on these values but also to live them out through acts of service, advocacy, and love. In this way, prayer becomes both a source of spiritual nourishment and a catalyst for positive action, enabling our whole school community to be faithful witnesses to the Gospel in everyday life.
