Smiles All Round as GCSE Results Arrive
Our GCSE Success at St James’!
We’re proud to share the amazing news from St James’ Catholic High School in Barnet – we’ve achieved another fantastic set of GCSE results!
Our Headteacher, Mr. Ellul, said:
“We are so proud of our students. They are a credit to our school, and we couldn’t be happier to see the smiles as they opened up their results today. Throughout their time with us, they’ve lived out our VERITAS values, and I can’t wait to see how this translates to a positive impact on the wider world. I’d like to thank our entire community – our brilliant staff, supportive parents, wise governors, and most of all, our hardworking and inspiring students.”
-
Over 80% of our qualifications were grade 4 or higher, putting us more than 15% above the national average at this benchmark pass level.
-
More than a quarter of all grades were 7 or higher – the equivalent of A and A*s!
We’re especially proud of the results in:
-
English Literature, where over 90% of us achieved grade 4 or above.
-
Maths and Science, where we showed strong results across the board.
-
In PE, all of us achieved between grade 9 and 4 – and 86% got grades 9–5!
-
History was another highlight, with almost half of us earning a grade 7 or above.
-
Our Community Languages results were amazing too – including 100% grade 9s in Persian and Russian, with top results in Polish and Chinese.
Mr. Linale, our Head of Year 11, said:
“What an amazing journey our students have been on! Each and every one of these young people has inspired us with their hard work, commitment and resilience. Thank you to their fantastic tutors, who’ve offered outstanding pastoral support. I’m looking forward to seeing many of them thrive in Sixth Form.”
