Year 10 Spanish Pupils Take on Barcelona

Our Year 11 Spanish pupils embarked on an educational trip to Barcelona. Pupils stayed for three nights in accommodation at Hotel Salomé, enjoying daily breakfasts and evening meals, including a special Tapas night and a BBQ dinner.

During the visit, pupils explored a range of cultural and historical sites. Highlights included a cable car trip to Montserrat Monastery, a guided walking tour of the Gothic Quarter and Barcelona Cathedral, and a visit to La Boqueria Market. They also visited the White Rabbit Museum to learn about Catalan culture and festivals, explored Las Ramblas and Port Vell, and experienced Poble Espanyol cultural village. Guided visits to Sagrada Familia and Park Güell, as well as a trip to the Roman town of Tarragona!

By blending academic enrichment with cultural exploration, the journey gave pupils the chance to practice Spanish in authentic settings while creating memories.
